Open a shared thread with the coach and your child
A shared thread puts you, the coach and your child in one conversation, which is how a coach talks to a young player safely.
Steps
- Open Messages.
- Press Message a coach.
- Under Who should see this?, choose Coach and your child's name.
- Press Open the shared thread.
- Type your message and send it.
Good to know
- There is one shared thread per child. If one already exists you are taken straight to it rather than starting a second.
- Everything in it is visible to all three of you. The thread is labelled Family thread and the header names who can see it.
- Only a parent can open one, and only for a child whose link the coach has approved.
- If you are told there is no active coach, the club has nobody set up to receive it yet. Speak to your club.
- Choose Coach only instead for anything your child should not read.
