For coaches

Run your first assessment

An assessment is the baseline everything else hangs off: the radar, the goals, the development plan and the progress a parent sees.

Steps

  1. Open Assessment framework from the Plan group and read the pillars and skills you have been given. Change nothing yet.
  2. Go to Players and open a player.
  3. Press Assess player.
  4. Work through each pillar, scoring every skill you have an opinion on from 0 to 10. Leave the rest blank.
  5. Flag competencies red, amber or green where it helps.
  6. Press Save assessment.

Good to know

  • You do not need to score everything. A save is refused only if the whole form is blank.
  • The scale is banded: 0-2 Beginner, 3-4 Developing, 5-6 Competent, 7-8 Advanced, 9-10 Elite. Each band carries a written descriptor so two coaches score the same player the same way.
  • Do a few players before you edit the framework. It is easier to see what is missing once you have used it.
  • Players and parents never see your scores as raw numbers on your screen; they see the radar and their own progress in the portal.
