Who can see your messages
Every thread says who is in it, right under its name, so you always know who is reading before you type.
Steps
- Open Messages and tap a conversation.
- Look at the tag beside the name: Private, Family thread or Group.
- Read the line under it. It names everybody who can see the thread.
- If that is not who you meant to talk to, go back and use a different thread.
Good to know
- Private is strictly two people. While you are under 18 you will not have a private thread with a coach at all.
- A Family thread is you, your parent and your coach. It is deliberately transparent: nobody in it is being talked about behind their back.
- A Group is everybody it names. Assume anything you send goes to all of them.
- Club announcements on Home are not messages. They go to everybody and you cannot reply to them.
- Your coach is a club coach, not a private contact. Treat threads as club business.
